About / Biography

My name is Shuddhoshawtto Roy. I am a developing pianist. I have taked training from various teachers in Kolkata for 16+ years since 2008 June. I am 24 years old. I am extremely passionate about piano. Presently, for the last 2 years, I am learing from Northern School of Music (NSM) in Paikpara branch of Northern Avenue. Name of my teacher is Sir Plaban Paul. I want to become a concert pianist and am an avid follower of classical composers like Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin; and I play their works in my piano at my home and in different other places like musical stores, studios, hotels, restaurants lobby; e.t.c.. I also teach students of all age categories. I participate in different regional, national and interational competitions, and win prizes and end up at the podium, often. I also appear in TV programmes. I have a YouTube channel, where I post my videos around once in a month. I am a BSC Mathematics Honours Graduate; with 1st Division and A-Grade, passed out last year June month. I also play chess with FIDE rating 1500+. Being a concert pianist is my dream forever. I have passed several examinations like John W Schaum, Musicea and Trinity Collage London (TCL) Grade-3 and will appear for Grade-5 soon. I am adept at setting up staff notation of any level and grade, in a short span of time; though total perfection takes some time. I have performed electronic keyboard (synthesizer) with several bands, and have also performed it solo in various big stages and halls in Kolkata. But, I am yet to perform piano, publicly. Desperately and frantically waiting for such an opportunity, eagerly at the earliest. I am a bright student in academics; scoring 86.75% in ISC Boards. I have scored 90+ in all my music examinations, all in the piano certification category, and have achieved distinction in all. I also play football and cricket as a hobby. Searching for scopes as a performer pianist as early as possible, anywhere in the world. Thats all about myself.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I need the availability of a concert grand piano of any size and a pair of microphones and sound system with speakers connected with the microphones; so that it's audible to everyone within the spectators. I require a stage space of atleast 10 meters x 5 meters dimension; and an audience of 1000 or more.

What information do you require about a venue?

I need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

As I am a pianist, I hope the the organizer will bring the sound and lighting equipment. I don't have much idea about that.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I am happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
