One of our most memorable performances was at Orford Musique, where we had the opportunity to perform alongside some of Canada’s finest jazz musicians. Another highlight was playing at L’Astral in Montreal, a stunning venue that perfectly complemented our sound.
We love weddings, cocktail receptions, and intimate jazz nights—any event where live music adds a special touch and enhances the overall experience.
Silantra was founded by Nicole Arrage, a graduate of McGill University’s Jazz Voice Performance program. With over nine years of professional performance experience, Nicole and the Silantra musicians have played in renowned jazz venues, corporate events, festivals, and private celebrations across Canada. The band grew out of a passion for jazz, reimagined pop, and elegant live performances that bring people together.
Silantra is influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Edith Piaf, and Postmodern Jukebox. One of our all-time favorite artists is Melody Gardot, whose modern jazz interpretations inspire our unique sound. If we had to choose one song that stands as the greatest of all time, it would be “La Vie en Rose”, a timeless classic that resonates across generations.
