I love performing at different types of events, keeps me on my toes, learning new songs and coming up with different ideas.
I was always told I had a beautiful voice. At primary school, when the class would sing a hymn, everyone would turn around and look at me and stop singing. Kind of embarrassing at the time as a young girl! I sang professionally in my 20's, with a band, on cruise ships and in hotels, bars etc. Glad to be gigging again. Singing is my greatest love. I believe I was born with a 'Song in my Heart'.
I've been influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Eva Cassidy, Olivia Newton-John, Donna Summer, Billie Eilish, Adele, Dua Lipa and the list goes on. The greatest song of all time ... too hard to choose one.
From the time I arrive it takes me around 1hr to setup if performing solo with my backing tracks. Will also need somewhere private to get changed.
Yes, weather permitting and access to a power point. For weddings, I can hire pa's that don't need to be plugged in.
I can learn that special 'song' if the song title is given to me 2 weeks prior to the event. I'm happy to take requests on the night or adapt my set list a few weeks prior to the event.
