We need a performance space of at least 8 meters x 5 meters. We require 2 x 10 amp power sockets and 4 parking spaces.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
Under high security I performed for the Queen of Thailand in 1997 in Pattaya. It was amazing and I'll never forget the journey to it all happening for as long as I live.
We love playing all types of events. Weddings and corporate events is what we've been able to do most as the Slumberjacks.
I started gigging pubs and clubs when I was 16 years old. Have toured overseas a number of times and up and down the east coast of Australia regularly. The other members of the band have been the same and work regularly around the Sydney scene.
Stevie Ray Vaughan, JJ Cale, The Meters and BB King have had great influence on my craft as a musician. We love incorporating hit songs from Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, INXS, Queen, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and Creedence Clearwater Revival to name a few tath really get the party started.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 3 x 45 minutes sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for cover, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 4 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
We have had on several occasions from venue workers and guests say we are the best wedding band they have seen. They say our musicianship and song choice is excellent and our engagement with the crowd is really captivating and fun.
We are as big as a 6 piece band and can be as small as a 3 piece band. I can also perform solo and as a duo.
