I mostly sing without a microphone unless performing in an outdoor environment. Accompaniment is usually supplied through backing tracks unless the venue specifies a pianist.

My favourite gig is my regular fixture at Cottingham Christmas Festival - I just love Christmas music and the crowd is always so supportive.
My favourite venue (at the moment) is Hedon Methodist Church - I'm able to run my backing tracks through a full speaker system which improves the sound quality no end.
Anything, really! As long as people want to hear me sing, I love to sing for them.
My first break was in December 2020 (oddly enough) when I was asked to sing at a private funeral (it was the only way they could have music). Most of my subsequent gigs were through word of mouth within church communities. I decided to branch out in January 2024 and signed up for Gig Heaven.
I'm less impressed by big names than by solid technique, strong interpretative skills and an individual sound. There is no 'greatest song of all time' - certain songs suit different occasions or different areas within the voice better than others.
