Set up space is 5x6' for a room 10x10' if outside to allow for extension speakers. For either setup, one 110v AC socket - but am able to supply my own power if necessary.
Location of venue and it's proximity with respect to neighbors, size of the room or outdoor facility or area.
All sound and lighting are provided. Completely self contained.
Play list is provided between sets.
The Campstore in Carlsbad is a favorite venue that usually fills with locals from all around. Great stage great people and this venue is on the edge of the world overlooking the pacific ocean!
I have no particular favorite just really enjoy playing good upbeat music.
I have been playing music for decades since my teens and started playing in classic (now) rock bands while in high school. I've always had an attraction toward performing throughout my life - it is intrinsic!
My influences have been blues players like Bonamassa, Abert and BB King, SRV, Bobby Bland, Keb Mo, but also love the classic rockers such as Beatles and those of the 70's to 2000's such as Eagles, Elton John, Walon, Willie, etc. My play list includes songs by Van Morrison, Neal Diamond, Stones, Petty, Tonic, Bush, etc.
I play a rhythmic guitar with a looper to back portions of songs and play a lead part over the loop within the song. I have extensive background as a singer and sound (I'm told) similar to something between Elvis and Sinatra. I can project on pitch at times such that a microphone isn't needed. I sing away from the mic to control the balance between voice and guitar. I have a percussion unit that is programmable to provide tempo and pop to my musical performance.
I normally will arrive 45 minutes before start time. Set up is 20 minutes and normal performance time is 3 to 3.5 hours.
I can play inside at comfortable listening levels but outside is probably my favorite location to play because it can be a freer more open environment that easily accommodates a wider range of volume. I am self contained for sound and power but will need shade to shield from excessive sunlight.
Aside from my normal set lists, I am open to play special selections for any occasion. I will need to know the title of special selections to work them up prior to performance.
I have received compliments for my performances during and after that express much appreciation for my selections of songs and my arrangements that don't necessarily exact copy the original. My performances exhibit my ability to boil down songs recorded by 6 piece bands into very impressive 6 string acoustic presentations.
