My name is Anton Morozov and I am a professional saxophonist and clarinetist with over 15 years of experience in the event industry. I have performed at a wide range of events, including weddings, anniversaries, corporate celebrations, and nightclub performances. I regularly play at lounge parties in Finland and often tour across other countries in Europe and Asia, bringing joy and creating unforgettable atmospheres. It's very important to me that my clients feel great, and I strive to do everything possible to ensure that their event is a success. My skill and passion for music allow me to connect with audiences, making each performance unique and memorable.
My song list is so extensive that I’ve stopped updating it. I also do a lot of improvisation, which makes it difficult to specify exact songs. My performances are often tailored to the mood and requests of the audience, so each set is unique and adaptable.
Sound System:
At least two speakers.
A subwoofer (depending on the size of the venue).
Mixer:
A minimum of a 4-channel mixer.
Power Supply:
Available power outlets for connecting my equipment.
I would like to know the exact date and time of the event, as well as specific times when the saxophone performance is needed. It helps in planning the performance and ensuring that everything is set up on time.
Yes, I can bring my own sound equipment. I offer this service primarily in Finland, as well as in nearby Baltic countries and Scandinavia, including Sweden and Norway. This ensures that the performance meets professional standards regardless of the venue's existing setup.
Sure
One of the most memorable gigs I've ever done was playing as the opening act for the Finnish band Haloo Helsinki at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. Performing in front of an audience of 40,000 people was an incredible experience, and the energy of the crowd was unforgettable. The stadium's impressive atmosphere and the scale of the event made it the best venue I've had the pleasure of working at.
I enjoy all types of events, but I have a special fondness for playing in bars and clubs near the sea. There's something magical about the atmosphere in those settings. I also love performing at weddings because each one is unique and special in its own way, providing a chance to be part of such a significant and joyous occasion.
I have a classical training background as a clarinetist, having graduated from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. However, after graduation, I realized that classical music wasn't the only path I wanted to pursue. This led me to teach myself the saxophone and explore the world of jazz. My journey into gigging began at the Scandic Hotel in Helsinki, where I started performing. Over the years, my network expanded significantly, giving me the opportunity to work with a diverse array of people, companies, and events. This experience has shaped my versatile and adaptive approach to music, allowing me to perform in various settings and genres.
I have many favorite artists and draw inspiration from a wide range of genres, including saxophone music, jazz, fusion, R&B, and soul. Some of my most influential saxophonists are Hank Mobley, Charlie Parker, Paul Desmond, Eric Marienthal, Everette Harp, Kenny G, Dave Koz, and Candy Dulfer. Each of these artists has contributed uniquely to my style and approach to music.
As for a favorite artist, it’s hard to choose just one given the variety of influences, but Hank Mobley and Paul Desmond have had a particularly significant impact on me. When it comes to the greatest song of all time, it’s a subjective choice, but one that resonates deeply with me is “Take Five” by Dave Brubeck. Its innovative rhythm and timeless quality continue to inspire musicians across genres.
I usually arrive at the venue ahead of time to set up and check the sound, ensuring everything is in perfect order before the event starts. Based on my experience, around 3 hours of saxophone performance typically works well for most events. After this period, it’s often best to switch to background music or tracks for dancing, to maintain a pleasant atmosphere and keep the energy flowing throughout the event.
Absolutely, yes! I especially enjoy performing outdoors in the summer:)
Yes, clients are welcome to request their favorite songs, and it’s absolutely no problem. I also love incorporating improvisation into my performances. During my set, if someone approaches and asks for a specific song, I’m more than happy to include it and add a saxophone improvisation over it. This often creates a unique and engaging experience for everyone involved.
