Live band or DJ? It's a difficult choice when planning an event like a wedding or anniversary. Why not get both? With the Taylor Road Band, you have the option of having a five-member band playing a large variety of songs perfect for anniversary parties, weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and more, AND you also get a DJ! The band can be structured based on needs and is available as a single (Dennis Cole keyboards and vocals) for smaller venues, a duo (Dennis with a drummer or vocalist), or a trio (keys, vocalist, and drummer). DJ services are available for duo, trio, and full-band only.
If you would like the DJ option, we will also provide all the DJ services expected, including announcements, specialty dances, and more. When enlisting the services of the band and DJ, typically, the band plays a set for 45 minutes, and then the DJ plays "ANY" songs requested for 40 minutes. Then, they switch and repeat. It's the best of both worlds. All the latest original hits are provided by the DJ and the live band plays classics and event favorites.
Band songs include Unchained Melody, Wonderful Tonight, Harvest Moon, I Saw Her Standing There, Shut Up and Dance, Uptown Funk, Lido Shuffle, Rock Around the Clock, Pride and Joy, Roadhouse Blues, Midnight Rider, Honky Tonk Woman, Black Magic Woman, Smooth, Brown Eyed Girl, Your Momma Don't Dance, Save the Last Dance for Me, My Life, Something Stupid, My Girl, Get Ready, Electric Slide, Chicken Dance, Sweet Caroline, Mony Money, and more. Thanks to the addition of Annemarie, we will also perform Close To You, We've Only Just Begun, Superstar, Crazy by Patsy Cline, Brown Eyes Blue, and many other classics. Greg Dean is an accomplished saxophone player and is available to join the band if requested. When Greg plays with the band, additional songs like Dancing in the Streets, Perfect, Nothing's Going to Change My Love for You, Havanna, Can't Stop the Feeling, Billie Jean, and more.

The Daytona Beach Bandshell for a charity event three years in a row. Approximately an audience of 1000.
Second weddings for baby boomers are great fun. We also play many fundraisers for charities, one of which features "A Walk Down Memory Lane with The Taylor Road Band." It's an interactive live trivia game with the band playing the correct songs, raising tons of money for charities. This fundraiser is an indoor event.
Most of the band members have been playing for twenty-five years or more, with over 100 gigs played. A couple of band members have played with or opened for major recording artists.
We offer a very large variety of songs, so it's difficult to select just one artist that influenced our style. We have a song list of over 500, ranging from the 50s to Motown, to pop, classic rock, yacht rock, jazz, country, etc. The Beatles have been a big influence on the band, but major artists such as Whitney Houston, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Van Morrison, and more are also in our repertoire.

We typically perform 2-3 hours. Our sets are usually 80 minutes long and we take one 20 minute break in between sets.
