Professional singer and guitarist, Taylor Thomas has been performing professionally at weddings, parties and corporate events for over fifteen years.

Taylor performs a large catalogue of well loved pop and rock hits, all performed in his signature style.

Taylor is a talented songwriter and can craft you a personalised song as an extra special touch to your perfect day. This can be performed on the day or recorded for you to keep.

Taylor also offers a version of Rockaoke, which allows audience members to get up and sing one of their favourite songs, whilst Taylor accompanies on guitar.

He can also bring percussion with him, so others can join in.

What are your basic technical requirements?

I require nearby plug sockets for my PA system and one parking space.


What information do you require about a venue?

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes I bring my own PA system.


Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

I have blue tooth on my PA system and this can be used for Spotify playlists.


What equipment do you use?

I have a stage pas 400T which is a great sounding PA system with different vocal effects and a Bluetooth connect function.
I use an electro acoustic guitar and sometimes use a pedal and percussive instruments too.

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of my favourite gigs was performing at a festival where everyone was dressed as superheroes!
I performed a couple of times for the winner of BBC master chef at his high end restaurant in Manchester on NYE!


What's your favourite type of event?

I enjoy playing at parties but I like playing at all sorts of events and enjoy getting the guests / audience involved with some audience participation!
Audience participation especially works well at parties and corporate events, where there is a team building element.


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have been performing since I was a child and have been a professional for over fifteen years.
My first gig was at the tender age of ten and I have been performing professionally since my early twenties.
I have performed all over the UK, in Europe and across Australia too.
I have performed at music festivals, high end hotels, corporate events, birthday parties and also worked in the field of music therapy.


Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I have been most influenced my Nirvana, Johnny Rotten and the Sex pistols, Blink 182 and Bruce Springsteen.
My favourite song of all time is ‘ Coming back to life ‘ by the Pink Floyd.


What other skills do you have?

I am also a freelance photographer, working across different styles from fashion to documentary.
I have had work featured with the BBC, Wired magazine, Lens culture and it’s nice that.

I also like to do comedy impressions and can do many impressions, including a collection of American presidents and Donald Trump!
I sometimes do impressions within my performances.

In my free time, I like to go skateboarding!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I usually arrive about an hour beforehand, it takes me about twenty minutes to set up.
I usually perform 2 x 1 hour sets of 3 x 40 min sets. I can play for long for an extended fee.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes I am happy to perform outside, I just ask for shade / cover and a power source nearby.


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

The clients can select songs they’d like me to play from my repertoire and I can learn a song request before the event, if they get in touch with a request before the event. I also know alot of songs that aren’t in my official repertoire, so I welcome requests from the audience on the night.


How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Many previous clients have described my performances as engaging, fun, vibrant and interactive.
I loved to get other people involved and bring a sense of musical community!


What makes you stand out as a performer?

I can play different instruments and bring along a collection of percussive instruments that others can use.
I am also able to be spontaneous and respond to audience requests and the atmosphere of the room, I often make up songs and raps on the spot.
I like to get others to join in and welcome and encourage people in the audience to sing along and join in with me.
Being able to do comedy impressions, I sometimes do an impression of the artist I am playing, before and during the song.
