Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

For my performances, I require a private changing space and a sound system that can play music clearly for the entire audience. The sound system should include speakers, a microphone (if applicable), and a playback device (such as a laptop or phone). I also request a space with adequate room for movement and performance.

What information do you require about a venue?

I need to know the size and layout of the performance space, especially the availability of a private changing area and the location of the sound system. Additionally, it’s helpful to have details about the audience capacity, access to electricity, and the venue’s policy on photography or videography. If the venue is a public space, I also need information on the sound levels and any potential noise restrictions.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I do not provide sound or lighting equipment. I require the venue to have a sound system capable of clearly playing music for the audience, but lighting is typically arranged by the venue or event organizer.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

I do not provide a Spotify/DJ service as part of my performances. However, I can collaborate with the venue or event organizer to ensure that appropriate music is played in between my sets. I am happy to work with a DJ or assist with playlist recommendations for the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

It’s hard to pick just one, as each experience has been unique and rewarding in its own way. I’ve had the privilege of performing at the Orlando Belly Dance Convention, Sweetheart Gala in St. Augustine, FL, Migrations in Austin, TX and teaching at Dark Odyssey's Winter Fire in Washington D.C. I've also had the pleasure of dancing in Osaka. Most recently, I performed at an event called "Lust" in Jacksonville, FL, where the audience was incredibly receptive and appreciative. Each of these gigs holds a special place in my heart for the energy and connection with the audience.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love performing at private parties, especially weddings. There’s something truly special about sharing such an intimate moment with a couple and their loved ones. The energy at private events allows me to connect with the audience on a personal level, making each performance unique and memorable.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I’ve been performing for over 17 years and started as a student, gradually progressing into teaching and performing professionally. I began gigging at local venues in Florida, and over time, expanded my performances nationally and internationally. My journey into belly dancing came from my love for cultural expression and movement, and I’ve continued to develop my skills and passion ever since.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My biggest influences have been Rachel Brice, known for her mastery of fusion belly dance, and Ebony Qualls, who blends technical precision with emotional depth in her performances. My favorite artist is DJ Clozee, whose unique blend of world music and trip-hop has deeply inspired my own musical tastes. While I don’t have a single "greatest" song, I find myself continuously drawn to DJ Clozee’s "Evasion" for its mesmerizing rhythm and emotional depth.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Typically, I arrive about 30 minutes before the performance to allow for setup and to ensure everything is ready. For public establishments, I perform 2 sets x 15 minutes. I usually take a break in between to rest and prepare for the next performance. For private parties, I will usually provide a 20 minute show.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I’m happy to perform outside, but I do have a few requirements for outdoor events. Ideally, there should be a flat, stable surface for safety, and it’s best to have cover in case of inclement weather. If those conditions are met, I can adapt my performance to the outdoor setting.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I offer a mix of both! While I do have a set repertoire that I draw from for my performances, I’m happy to work with clients to incorporate any specific music or requests they have, depending on the theme or vibe they’re going for. I’m very flexible and aim to make the experience as personalized as possible.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients frequently describe my performances as engaging, energetic, and captivating. They often mention how my ability to connect with the audience and the graceful yet powerful nature of my dance leaves a lasting impression. Many appreciate my ability to adapt to different types of events and create a fun, memorable atmosphere.
