About / Biography

The Foxfires are Seagaze band from NYC Metro area, formed in 2013. Their sound is a blend of Indie Pop/Rock, Folk, Surf Rock, and Shoegaze, with an oceanic ambiance and a positive message. Since their formation they have released 5 singles, 2 EPs, and 1 full length records and performed 450 shows across the East Coast, South, and Midwest, playing at many events such as their headlining slot at PEX: Summer Fest, PVD Fest, The TCS NYC Marathon, Pittsburgh Pride Fest, Northside Fest, Millennium Music Conference, Singer-Songwriter Cape May Conference, East Coast Music Conference, O+ Fest, Musikfest, Electric City Music Conference, Allentown Arts Fest, Newburgh Illuminated Fest, and Valley Festamongst many others with artist such as Jennifer Hudson, Michale Graves (Former Misfits), Kurt Travis (Former Dance Gavin Dance), Have Mercy, Sparks the Rescue, Pentimento, and Rookie of the Year, amongst countless others. Their music has been featured on radio across the United States as well as parts of Europe and been licensed to the Discovery Networks, Homemade Soul Music, Audiosparx, Roadtrip Nation, and Bring Your Own Board music libraries. The Foxfires released 3 brand new singles between February and May, recorded in Brooklyn, with astute producer Jesse Cannon They're three singles conceived and recorded in Brooklyn, NY. The band released each single, corresponding with a significant date. The first song, titled Slowdive, was released corresponding with Valentine's Day. The second, titled Matchless Part Two was released March 21st for the Spring Equinox. The third and final of the trilogy, Brooklandia was released on May the 4th coinciding with International Star Wars Day. Just this year, The Foxfires performed at the United Airlines Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon in DC, Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA, Singer Songwriter Cape May in Cape May, NJ, and opened up for Consider the Source at Debonair Music Hall, before traveling to Norfolk, VA to speak on a panel and perform at the Granby Theater, as a part of East Coast Music Conference. The band performed at the inaugural Rock Out the Dope Music Fest, Hudson Valley Music Summit, American Dissonance Fest, and the 10th Annual Froggy Daze to finish out the summer and recently released their Coldplay/Third Eye Blind Mashup to celebrate 6 years, together. The Foxfires recently signed to Brink Records out of Virginia and will be returning to the NYC Marathon in November. The band has many surprises in store for the end of the year, going into 2020, so stay tuned!
