Jazz Cat Duo is a music project where two instruments meet - a 6-string bass guitar and a voice. Their style allows them to jump, prowl and move around jazz, bossa nova, funk and pop music. By choosing a song, they create their own perspective. A combination of deep bass strings, the beauty of the voice, adding different rhythms, layers and effects.
Well, if there are only two instruments, why does it sound so full and beautiful? The secret is that... they are Jazz Cats! By using different layers of music and improvisation on each song, they create a background for each other. So, it's interesting to hear the voice of the bass guitar and the bass line of the voice, isn't it?
The duo came to life in the spring of 2022 when they met at an open mic in Amsterdam and decided to collaborate. From an ordinary standard band, it turned into an experimental duo with original arrangements. Since the beginning, they have performed in various venues in the Netherlands, such as restaurants and theaters, charity events, exhibition openings, etc.
Tender and deep, driving and funny, playful and magical - this is how their performances can be described. Still, it's always better to hear it instead of reading several pages about it
