The Lydian String includes professional musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, English National Ballet, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestras of the BBC.

The Lydian String are committed to a continuous programme of cancer fundraising. Since 2001, we have given well in excess of £180,000 to UK based cancer charities – over £140,000 of it for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Lydian String provide music for a vast variety of events. We provide music for anything from a concert recital to a wedding string quartet.
