The Publicans number from two to seven depending on the engagement. At full strength we feature mandolin, piano, guitar, whistle, bass and drums and vocals. Our music is a slightly subversive mix of covers and original songs that are guaranteed to get any night swinging be it bar, pub or private party. We cover acts like the Pogues, Dubliners, The Lightning Seeds and John Denver. If you can dance and sing to it we’ll do it! We pack our own PA and lighting, have a set in excess of 2 hours and can provide appropriate incidental music to to keep the evening ticking along nicely.

We can fit in most spaces with in reason. A single 13amp socket should be enough for us. We can be completely battery powered if mains power is a problem.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. Are there any stairs we need to climb with our equipment? We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig. We can even be battery powered if power is a problem.
