Destry Spigner was born in Chicago Ill, on the Southwest side. He began writing and singing at the age of 12. Destry’s first professional singing debut was with Hudson Beaudy, “Swing your body” released in the mid 80’s under the name Destri. It soon became and cult classic in England and on the Chicago house scene. Producer /writer Vince Lawrence, one of the producers responsible for the house classic “Love can’t turn around”. Destry later signed to ‘’Desire records’’. Chris Perry” the manager of the ‘’Cure’’ . ‘’Rebel Mc’’ and ‘’Double Trouble’’. Destry’s first album “Class House” that had 5 dance floor hits “Did you find a heart?”, ” Forever my love”, “Only the lonely hearts”and ‘’Only a matter of time’’ In 1991 he moved from Desire and worked with Bobby and Steve from “Zoo Experience” where he wrote, sang and produced the hit song “Love Has a Hold on me” which was signed to Cool Tempo, this song made it to top 40 in the billboard charts, and was also featured on “East Enders”.

Destry in the last 35 years has worked with Acid Jazz, 4-liberty, Inferno Records, Heat Records, Pure Silk, 1044 MM, and N2 Records, with remixes and collaborations with some of the best known producers on the dance scene, Vince Lawrence, Tin City, Marshall Jefferson, Kerry Chandler, Urban Syndicate, Short Fuse and’’ Matters at work’’ just to name a few! The singer, song writer, producer and re mixer that everyone has heard of but don’t know, has been behind the scene for more than 30 years.
