Tim Maia is universally recognised as one of the icons of Brazilian music heritage. He contributed soul to a raft of Brazilian music styles, including funk, bossa nova, disco, romantic ballads, pop, rock, jazz, baião and MPB.
From humble beginnings, Maia would go on to record and release over thirty albums incorporating a plethora of distinct styles and influences on a variety of different internationally recognised labels. He is a true legend of Brazilian music, and his music has been instrumental in promoting Brazilian music around the globe.

The band was formed to play at London's prestigious Jazz Cafe in 2018 with the some of best musicians that could do justice to Tim Maia's legacy. The night at the Jazz Cafe was sold out and the response was amazing!Since then the band has been invited back every year! Among the musicians, the members have played for Jorge Benjor, Abba, Diane Shur, Rita Lee among others.
