About / Biography

Born in Ronda, Málaga, Spain on April 20, 1972, he began his musical studies at the age of 11 in the Municipal Music Band of Fuengirola, Málaga, under the direction of its founder and director, Don Cristóbal Blanca del Moral, expanding his knowledge in the Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Málaga.
Later specialized in Jazz and Modern Music, with teachers such as Bobby Martínez (Creative School of Madrid), Arturo Serra (Valencia) or Stratos Vougas (Greece) among others and with the assistance and participation in different Jazz Seminars around the Peninsula taught by musicians of international stature such as:
- Valencia International Jazz Seminar “Sedajazz” with Perico Sambeat, Jesús Santandreu, Antonio Blanco “Latino”, Tony Belenguer... (Attendance at two editions)
- Cádiz International Jazz Seminar with Jorge Rossy, Jerry Bergonzi, Dave Santoro, Kenny Barron.... (Attendance at three editions, during which he also acted as a translator from English to Spanish for Jerry Bergonzi and Dave Santoro)

- International Jazz Seminar “Tavira em Jazz”, Portugal, with Jack Walrath, director of the “Mingus Big Band”, Zè Eduardo, Jesús Santandreu, Hermanos Ferber, Greg Tardy... (Attendance at two editions)
- Alhaurín de la Torre International Jazz Seminar, Málaga with Greg Osby, Bill McHenry, Jonathan Kreisberg, Steve Grossman, Tony Blake, Perico Sambeat, Luigi Grasso (Attendance at five editions)
He has participated in different projects and bands of various musical styles such as “Juggle Jazz” (Funk), “Los Perdidos” (Latin Rock), “Maktub” (Flamenco-Pop) and collaborated with musicians such as Manolo Tena, Fortu (Obus), Javier Andreu (La Frontera), Javier Ojeda (Danza Invisible), or Chambao, in addition to collaborating with different groups along the Costa del Sol or in projects such as the “Study on behavior towards Music” (University of Málaga, Faculty of Psychology)
Likewise, he has also worked as a saxophonist for a year with the Mallorcan Company “Romantic” in various shows in different hotels in the south of Gran Canaria.
He has been part of big bands such as “Sonora Big Band” (Cádiz), “Gran Canaria Big Band” in its tribute to Frank Sinatra (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) or “Bob Sands Big Band” playing Tenor Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet and he is the Founder and Director of the Malaga bigband “Malaka Bigband”
