Los Tropicanos are based in North Yorkshire, UK. We perform a selection of Latin and Mediterranean songs that are vibrant and energetic. Artists we cover range from the Gypsy Kings, Carlos Santana, Tito Puente, Buena Vista Social Club, Julio Iglesias etc. We are ideal for private functions, weddings, festivals and general performances for restaurants, themed bars etc.

Performing at the Whitby Musicport festival 2023
ARC Stockton is our favourite venue
We love performing at all kinds of functions and themed venues, World music festivals are up there as our ultimate favourite though.
The project was started in 2008 as Tropicana North East and as of this year 2024 is known as Los Tropicanos. As musicians we have a lot of experience in different genres of music but crucially Latin music.
We are hugely inspired by the following Latin greats:
Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Fania All Stars, Buena Vista Social Club, Gypsy kings, Carlos Santana.
We usually can set up within 1 hour if arrival, space being provided. Our standard set is 2 x 45 minute with a 15 minute interval.
Under adequate cover and subject to time of year then yes.
We normally stick to our set. If it's a wedding or private function we can rehearse a song with enough notice though providing it fits in with the genre.
