I've been touring and performing for 30+ years in support of 20+ hit songs on the CCM & Gospel music charts. I also do mainstream events such as corporate events as JG & the MIX. We do a selection of great soul and pop hit covers with a few originals thrown in the mix.

For track based shows: 1 keyboard (88 key semi-weighted) - 2 mics, 2 stands, 2 floor monitors.
Full Band: My band consists of a 5-piece rhythm section: Drums, bass, keys & guitar + me
I prefer arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up and fix any issues. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

I won't do songs I don't know, and/or are not in my sizable song list, unless the client makes requests a week prior to the event.

If it's a CCM, and/or Gospel gig, the audience is there excited to hear their favorite songs. If it's a secular gig where we are playing covers, and the audience is usually caught by surprize with our quality, and professionalism. Also, we always pick mainstream covers that have a universal appeal, and nothing that we would not play in the presence of families with children.
