Vinyl Funk, a leading popular music cover band based on the west side of Los Angeles, is a uniquely diversified group that impresses any audience with its own blended style of Funk, Soul, Rock, Pop, & Latin. Vinyl Funk has entertained & performed dance music for many diverse audiences since 2017, hence its mantra, "Quality Live Music for All Occassions".
The success of the band can be attributed to its versatility & experience, as the 10 multi-talented members have played with a variety of different styles of bands, and the average tenure of the 10 musicians exceeds 25 years. This diversity & experience make it possible for the group to masterfully perform music ranging from soft lyric ballads (male &/or female), to funky soul, rock, & pop classics with a powerful horn section, & Latin rhythms with strong rhythm & percussion ensembles.
Vinyl Funk's varied & extensive list of performances include monthly shows at both The Elks & The Eagles on the west side of Los Angeles, private family celebrations, & community events.

Vinyl Funk’s best gig was arguably a Christmas Show at The Elks Lodge in Culver City in December 2018, with over 250 people in attendance celebrating the Holidays.
Our best venue where we have performed may have been at The Anaheim Hotel for a Wedding in 2022. It was a lovely, elegant setting in the grand ballroom with over 200 attendees celebrating a memorable event.
Vinyl Funk enjoys playing for all occasions! However, weddings or anniversaries are perhaps our favorite. The attendees are always happy, and our music gets them on the dance floor!
Virtually all of The Vinyl Funk band members started performing music before we were teenagers. Since that time, we have all performed at numerous weddings, birthday parties, etc - any events calling for live music
The Vinyl Funk Band is heavily influenced by the classic Soul/Pop/Latin bands from the 60’s & 70’s, that featured full horn sections & harmonic vocals. Bands such as Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire , the Tower of power, & Kool & the Gang.

We will go the extra mile to make your event a memorable one.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally sound check 1/2 hour before the scheduled performance start time. We normally perform 3 x 60 minute sets, we can play shorter or longer but we’ve found that these set times suit us & our audiences best.
Playing outside is no problem. We would request a shaded area, a flat level surface, & an adjacent power supply.
We can learn specific songs before the event, but we limit this to 3 songs. We usually know the genre of songs that the client is expecting, so we will cater the set lists to the specific genre.
Previous clients would describe The Vinyl Funk Band as a very engaging band with attendees, that caters their music to the client’s preferences, & gets the audience on their feet dancing.
