VODJA comes from Vodjagado which means traveling in Esperanto. It's a desire to introduce everyone to the music from all over the world that we play with joy, but above all, to make the public wanting to dance !
We play our repertoire as an ode to travel, a nod to distant destinations, which will take you from traditional songs from Romania, to the odd rhythms of Bulgarian music, passing through the typical pieces of Turkish brass bands, but also towards the warm music of Brazil, South America, Sicily, and an old Paris that loved to make the people waltz to the sound of the ball orchestras of the 1920s.
