Weddington Strings provide superb entertainment for weddings, events, parties and functions. They perform regularly as string quartets, trios and duos in London and throughout the South of England.
Aka The Weddies, they have been playing together in different combinations for over 20 years. They’re not only great musicians, but also great friends and nothing makes them happier than performing together for music loving audiences!
Weddington Strings have a huge range of repertoire from Classical to Jazz, Film/TV, Theatre/West End and Rock & Pop. They also provide bespoke arrangements for any genre of music, and recordings on request.
Weddington members are all seasoned professional players who've performed with amongst others the Philharmonia, BBC orchestras, CBSO, Bournemouth Symphony and Royal Opera House. They've appeared both in the recording studio and on tour, alongside artists including Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, Lisa Stansfield, Nitin Sawnhey, the Pet Shop Boys, Girls Aloud, Travis, Elbow, Duffy, Bjork, Jools Holland and Beverley Knight. Tours include Les Miserables, War of the Worlds, Belle & Sebastien, Elaine Page and Cesare Cremonini.
This year's most recent performances include the Ellis Wines 200 Year Anniversary Tasting Event, at the Royal Opera House and numerous weddings throughout the South East.
