As a Celebrant, I undertake to facilitate the couple in planning the actual ceremony. Such planning (“script building”) should be aligned with the couple’s emotional and sociocultural requirements and/or personal desires and take into account practicalities suggested by the wedding planner. My role is NOT to dictate things or to add extra work on the wedding planner; in a subtle yet effective way, I provide, during planning, the couple with enough space to add their own colors and contribution in the procedure (vows, quotes etc.), while maintaining the solemn and compact character a meaningful ceremony should have.
