Dimitris Bakopoulos is a graduate of the Hanze University Prince Claus Conservatory of Groningen, Netherlands. Has been a student of many acknowledged musicians from the scene in New York as well as in Europe such as, Billy Hart, Don Braden, Greg Hutchinson, Rick Magritza, Tim Armacost, Seamus Blake, Mike Clark, Dado Moroni, Danny Grissett, Paul Bollenback, Sheryl Bailey, etc.
Dimitris Bakopoulos Trio comes in a straight-ahead jazz setting with original arrangements on famous broadway songs, as well originals by Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, etc.
The lineup of the trio is, electric guitar with double bass and drums.
