Kings County Sound offers a range of audio services from a single powered speaker to bump your house party to a full PA system with backline suitable for a 10 piece band in a large ballroom or at a street festival. We can work directly with the artist, ie band or DJ, and/or with the client ie wedding party, corporation, community organization.
We specialize in those only in New York situations, such as having to set up in 30 minutes in an awkward space reachable only by ladder (yes, we've done that!) or running sound on a float in a parade. Not to mention all those "normal" events featuring a stage, a dance floor, a band and a couple hundred happy people.
In addition to PA systems (microphones, mixers and speakers) we feature a small amount of backline gear (amps, drum kits) and some musical instruments and DJ gear as well.
We treat every event as if it were our own, and take personal pride in leaving nothing but happy memories.

If indoors, we need electrical outlets (ie, plugs). Or we can bring power packs or generators for additional charge.
Loadin location, contact information; any spatial or electrical considerations ie if the stage is far away from the electrical outlets, we need to know that. If outdoors, need to know if there is shelter in event of rain (shelter not required, but we need to know)
We provide sound equipment including PA systems (mics, mixers, speakers) and backline (amps, drums). We have just about every mic you might need, and some nice vintage amps as well as some guitars, basses and keyboards
Some basic lighting is also available but we are not a lighting company.
Absolutely. We can provide the music, or we can plug your device into our system.
I can't say what the best venue was but we once set up in a theater so that Jakob Dylan's band could play the premiere of his film Echo in the Canyon. And doing sound at a private party with Moby's side project Little Death as the band and celebs such as Heather Graham speaking into our mics wasn't half bad.
Weddings and birthdays are always the best bc everyone is happy to be there.
We started out as musicians who need our own PA system in order to play parties. As our experience and amount of gear grew, it turned into quite the side business. Now going on 25 years, we are very comfortable in this side of the live music business.
Not sure how to answer that as a sound company. Let's just say everything from Johnny Cash to George Clinton & P-Funk. Speaking of which, we usually test the speakers with Flashlight by Parliament.
That depends on the size of the sound system, the setting (is it in an awkward location?) and other factors. That said, we like to have 2 hours lead time to set up for most events, if not more. The idea is to be completely setup and sound checked at least an hour before showtime.
Absolutely. We only request that the client work with us on shelter and electricity. We can provide our own if necessary (there may be additional charges).
Whatever the client wants. That said, if you want us to provide specific music or a set list, please send it or tell us in advance.
