There are no do-overs for these types of events, and that is why I bring backups for every single piece of equipment needed for the job. Redundancy, redundancy, redundancy! Always!
There have been so many great gigs and venues, so it's hard to say. I enjoy every job and the opportunity to be part of someone's special day and celebration. The Madison Square Garden is a top one for me, as a New Yorker, and for the amount of family and friends that attended the event.
Weddings and celebrations.
I grew up playing Gospel music and have been a musician for 30 years. I started doing weddings and events in 2015 after returning home from a very successful tour.
There are too many! I love everything 80's! I grew up with 90's R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Smooth Jazz, and Gospel. Some of my favorites are Kenny G, Lenny Pickett, Gerald Albright, Steve Cole, Sonny Rollins, Grover Washington Jr, Charlie Parker, Michael Jackson, Kool & The Gang, Tower Of Power, Peabo Bryson, Whitney Houston, Queen, Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects, Luther Vandross, Boyz II Men, New Edition, Chaka Khan.
I normally arrive one hour prior to the start of my performance to set up the equipment and get ready. My performance goes according to what the job calls for and as arranged with the client.

The clients have a say, and I love jamming to a client's playlist or music choice. I even encourage on-the-spot requests. It is great and fun for everybody.
"The life of the party", "You made the event", "You elevate everything the DJ plays", "You elevated the event", "The event was you", "You have the sound of The Greats", "You made the night", "Amazing performance", "Unforgettable", "Amazing", "Moving and heartfelt", "..the absolute best".
I work with a wireless microphone system with a long range which allows me to move around freely. I use my judgment to determine whether it is safe for me to walk around without risking harm to any attendee or myself. Another factor that matters is whether the sound from the sound system covers the area from every angle and allows me to properly hear the music as I walk. The way I prefer to perform is stationary in an area, with the ability to go in the crowd and return to that area as I see fit.
Many.
There is a high probability that I have worked at your event's venue.
