"With all the hype going to Wynton Marsalis, you might not guess that there are other, lesser-known, straight-ahead trumpet players out there who are consistently ripping the hide off the ball. This, Rick Holland's auspicious debut, is an impressive effort. The trumpeter leads his quartet, backed by a solid Michigan-based rhythm section: pianist Terry Lower, bassist Ed Fedewwa, and drummer Larry Ochiltree, through a fiery trail of originals and standards, interspersed with some fine balladry. Holland's sensitive ear translates to some tight arrangements and a well-organized program. On flugelhorn, he boasts a rich, full tone that purrs with warmth. On the faster tunes, he steams. This is the kind of jazz that feels just right on a wintry day, with the fireplace in full throttle, and the feet resting on a cushion: it hits the spot perfectly, drenched with emotional power and skillful fortitude. "Big thanks to Robert for making our day so very special. From the bottom of our hearts we want to say thank you for choosing such lovely songs and for the surprise Christina Perri song for our first dance. We'll have you back when we renew our vows and maybe even for a birthday party. Julie x"

"I find it very important in todays jazz environment that a player of Rick Holland talent gets heard and recognized because he carries on a tradition of swing and melodic playing that I consider most important in jazz. Hendrik Meurkens, Jazz Harmonicist, NYC"

"Initially, we saw Joie de Vivre, in Winchester and thought how wonderful they would be performing at our wedding. We were not disappointed. Their repertoire of old French classic amourettes were beautifully delivered and extremely varied from Piaf to Brel . All our guests enjoyed listening and singing along as we danced early in the evening before dinner "

"Abbiamo scelto Tea For Three per il nostro matrimonio...gli avevamo già sentiti suonare più volte ad altri eventi e al nostro matrimonio hanno riconfermato la loro bravura. Tutti i nostri ospiti sono rimasti felicissimi e ci hanno fatto molti complimenti per la musica che gli ha intrattenuti piacevolmente per tutta la serata. Gli sceglierei altre 1000 volte!! Bravi ragazzi, siete i numeri 1 !!!"

"Brilliant! Vintage Ruby sung at my Nans 90th Birthday Party, brilliant voice and took my Nan on a journey with the song choices through the years. She also prepared and sang some of my Nans favourite songs. Throughout the performance Vintage Ruby engaged with the crowd and really made my Nan feel special. Would highly recommend!"

"We got married in France (Loire Valley) in June this year and Mike was amazing. Mike played on the chateau grounds as our guests starting arriving, through to our reception drinks after the ceremony. Mike also played a beautiful rendition of 'la vie en rose' as I walked down the aisle, it was truly perfect. I heard nothing but positive comments from my friends and family. His performance and setlist really did make the wedding day such a perfect day, setting the ambiance just right. The process of booking Mike was so easy with very good and fast communication, nothing was too much bother. Mike is a very friendly and talented person and it was lovely to meet him."
