"On Sunday 24th February the ‘David Hitchen Sextet’ sounded like a band that had played together for years. The superbly presented performance had everything…a well planned repertoire, cleverly arranged charts and playing of the highest level. The fact that the six musicians met to perform together for the very first time only two hours before the gig, was quite beyond belief and had David not mentioned it during his announcements no-one would have known. "This group's music is cleverly arranged and beautifully presented. Their recent performance at the Barn theatre in Welwyn Garden City was captivating with subtle arrangements using occasional horns, sensitive vocals and a level of professionalism that others strive to achieve. This quintet is ahead of the game and an act not to miss."

"Our experience was amazing. The guys turned up on time, set up quickly, we're great to chat with, and their musicianship was wonderful. Everyone commented on how good the music was - and there was only 2 of them! Really impressed, wouldn't hesiatate to recommened them to anyone else. "The Hitchen Jazz quartet played for my Birthday Party in Summer 2018. We had a bigger budget, so I requested the quartet. They played a beautiful Jazz set for our apperatifs, which really made our day! Later that year, we went to watch the Hitchen Big Band play a live concert with World renowned Trumpet star Bobby Shew. David actually played some duets/trumpet battles with Bobby Shew, proving that David is able to perform on any stage. Merci les gars!"
