Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We need a performance space of at least 8 meters x 5 meters. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets and 3 parking spaces.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Solihull food festival & Skegness Reggae Festival.

What's your favourite type of event?

Garden Parties, Festivals, & Weddings.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

With over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry and a passion for bringing people together through music and culture, I saw a unique opportunity to combine my love for Caribbean food and live entertainment. Coming from a background in event planning with IslandEats & Beats , I’ve worked closely with bands, DJs, and venues, creating unforgettable experiences for private and public events.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Since you’re deeply involved in reggae, ska, and Caribbean entertainment, I’d guess we've been influenced by legendary artists like Bob Marley, Toots & The Maytals, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond, or even UB40.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

High-energy & authentic – Bringing real reggae, ska, and Caribbean vibes that get people dancing, paired with bold, mouthwatering
Jamaican cuisine.
