Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Robin 2 in Bilston.

What's your favourite type of event?

Weddings, Live music venues, Festivals, Private Parties.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Our journey began while we were at jam nights, where we first came together as a group of friends who shared a passion for reggae and ska music. What started as casual jam sessions quickly turned into regular performances, and before we knew it, we were gigging at local venues in Brum!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We’ve been heavily influenced by artists like UB40 and Desmond Dekker, and The Skatalites, whose rhythms and soulful melodies laid the foundation for our band. We also draw from the 2 Tone era, with bands like The Specials and Madness, who brought ska to a whole new generation.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe us as a high-energy group that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing!
