"Ian’s single aims to give a lift to anyone struggling Singer-songwriter Ian Thompson has released a new single ‘Starting Today’, which he hopes will provide ‘a lift’ for those struggling with their mental health or addiction. It’s available now on all digital platforms. Ian said: ‘It’s been on my mind a lot recently, as many people I know are suffering with mental health and addictions. There have been some tragic cases on the island, and I just wanted to write this song with the message that it doesn’t have to be like this, there is always a way out and every day is a new day.’ Born in Liverpool, Ian moved to the island 13 years ago, after meeting his now wife during a trip to the island when he visited some friends. When he moved, he decided to become a full-time musician, and frequently gigs in venues across the island, as both a solo artist, and with a band. He added: ‘I have worked in telesales, taxis, music shops, done office work, you just do what you can to get by, but the one dominant thing in my life that I have always done is my music and playing in bands.’ Ian has been writing music for years, and one of his songs ‘You’re my Liverpool’ has been added to Liverpool Football Club’s playlist. He explained his process of writing music. ‘I usually come up with a tune first, if I like the tune, then I come up with lyrics to go with it,’ he said. The words usually just fly out of me. I have never been short of things to say, and I think the tune dictates what the words are going to say.’ As with much of his music, Ian’s latest single was recorded at Ballagroove Studio, run by Gyp Buggane. Featured artists on the track include saxophonist Sammy J and piano was played by Ian Wright. Ian has more songs in the pipeline, and on top of his gigs and song-writing, he is looking to build his own recording studio with the help of Gyp."

"After enjoying seeing Naked Stereo perform at a few venues, I booked them to play at my 50th. Their music caters for all ages/genres and was the perfect entertainment to get the evening started. "Wow!!! Swite Duo played from guests arrival through to our first dance and were absolutely spectacular. We recieved so many compliments on how good they were, including the other suppliers. We booked Swite Duo through Gig Heaven and after paying the deposit all of our communication was direct with Swite Duo. Both Edu and Marti were extremely professional, diligent and put us at ease throughout the process. They learned songs specifically for us, played in conjunction with our DJ for the first dance and sorted out a last minute equipment request. They minimised our stress throughout a very busy wedding planning process. We absolutely love their sound and would recommend them to anyone. They were worth their weight in gold and the music they played perfectly set the vibe of our day just as we wanted. Our wedding day was perfect and that was in part to them. Thank you. "

"Stephan was awesome to work with. He played exactly what we wanted and even learned our favorite song for our recessional. We asked him to play with a violinist and he was happy to do so. They sent us samples of them practicing which was amazing. We would definitely work with him again! Thanks!"

"Dear Barry, You are one in a million and most likely a billion or a trillion!!! Without YOU, our wedding would have NEVER been the fabulous event it was, which has everyone who participated in or attended it, including the staff at the Valley Hunt Club commenting that it was the best wedding EVER!!!! What you provide is transcendental, and definitely a cut above the rest of the countless and mundane assortment of the Southern California wedding DJ's. Your music selections had appeal for ALL ages, even the hard to please teenagers among our guests without annoying or insulting our seniors. This seems like an impossible feat and yet you achieved it flawlessly. And, most of all, you have a huge component of COOL which gratifies the needs of all of us want-a-be cool people!!!
