"Hot-Wax was phenomenal! We booked them for our wedding at Chateau Allure du Lac (early September 2022). They were legitimately the best wedding band I've ever heard. I've been a musician for 25+ years and can say with confidence that these guys are extremely talented musicians and top-notch performers. All of our guests had the time of their lives dancing the night away to their music. They even learned a few special songs for us and performed them perfectly. "My partner Phil and I met at work and our first ever conversation was about music. Over the years, and to this day, music has played a central role in our lives as a couple. From going to gigs, to blasting tunes while working at home, or anticipating new album releases from our favourite artists, music is at the core of who we are as people. When Phil proposed we knew we wanted an amazing live band for our wedding, that reflected our taste and would bring the party. It couldn't just be *any* function band - they had to have soul. After doing hours of research looking for an RnB band, we found Mark. Boy did him and the band come correct! We had 2 sets with the 7 piece band, one motown set and one rnb set, followed by their DJ who curated a real party playlist, moving through hip hop, grime, garage and more. So many of our guests said the band was the best they'd heard at a wedding. We danced into the night and had the best day of our lives. Thank you to you and the band for being so damn amazing! We didn't expect that the band would learn a song to play as our first dance. We requested Outstanding by The GAP Band and they performed it down to a t. Just incredible"

"We book ARKAID to play regularly at a whole range of events from weddings and birthdays to gala dinners and awards evenings, he's always a hit! He knows how to read the audience and adapt his set to get the maximum reaction from the crowd. We get request after request to have him back at the next event!"

"Professional, fun, great at judging the energy of the party and dropping the right tracks at the right time to get everyone dancing! All logistics were taken care of, communication leading up to the event was excellent, nothing for us to do other than enjoy ourselves. Our wedding party would not have been the same without him, even my dad was dancing and I don't think I've seen that happen in decades! "

"DJ Mel engaged with us from the start. She has been extremely patient and accommodating as we had to move our wedding twice due to Covid. We had meetings to discuss our preferred music choices and on the night not one person wanted to leave the dance floor. Her music choices and the flow between each piece of music kept the dance floor full! She knows what works well for wedding music to ensure all guests want to spend as much time on the dance floor as possible! Her set was flawless!"
