"“Musical Wizard:” Against the backdrop of the oak-panelled Great Hall, and under the hooded gaze of Lord Preston’s impressive portrait, Peter Bull, resplendent in black velvet and sporting a large ostrich-feather hat, took us through a tour of the music and instruments of the Civil War. The Hall itself was used as lodgings for the Roundheads and one could imagine the music echoing down the centuries to a very different audience. Peter Bull performed two different concerts, beginning with a selection of tunes by John Playford (1651), played with great dexterity on the hurdy-gurdy (or wheel fiddle), a cross between a violin and the bagpipes! In contrast, he then performed the popular Drink to Me Only With Thine Eyes (Ben Johnson) and Gather Ye Rosebuds (William Lawes) on the lute. "

"Everything went very well. We were absolutely delighted with Beer For Breakfast, we feel that you helped to make our special day even more special. All of our guests without exception have commented on how good you were and what fun they had. We were at another wedding last weekend and everyone who had also attended ours kept coming over and telling us that the band was not in the same league as "the fantastic ceilidh band" at our wedding! "We were absolutely blown away last night by the amazing Joe Doonan. Joe has an amazing voice that just captured everyone in the room. Not only that but he is such an approachable guy and a pleasure to be around. We could have listened to him all night. We have no problems in recommending Joe for any event and cannot wait for him to visit York again when we will most definetely be there to watch. Top top night, brilliant, amazing."

"The performance of duo Colore was very good and suited perfectly the theme and the atmosphere of the evening.The guys were very enthusiastic, responded to the atmosphere and the wishes of the guests.
