"Rory and his colleagues played at my husbands 40th birthday party. This was held on a summer evening at home for around 60 people. Having live music totally transformed the night. Rorys band created a really unique atmosphere. The music was relaxed and subtle, which meant that the conversation could flow, but so enjoyable to listen to that you didnt want it to end. I would love to have the opportunity to hear him play again and I would not hesitate to engage him for another occasion."

"I am happy to confirm that you and your colleagues on the sax, bass and piano indubitably added greatly to the atmosphere of the evening. Lots of the guests commented very enthusiastically on how much they had enjoyed the music. My feeling is that you added warmth, sparkle, and a sense of celebration to the evening, and the range and style of play was perfect to modulate between grabbing peoples attention and providing harmonious background, as appropriate for the stage in the proceedings. I was also appreciative of how flexible you were about the times of taking a break so that there was always music except during the brief interlude for speeches. I was delighted to have found you through Music Students for Hire and would definitely recommend not only you and your colleagues but Music Students for Hire too."

"For our wedding me and my partner were looking for a jazz band. We came across Gig Heaven where We found the Tavares Jazz Band. After having watched several videos we were convinced and we booked for the band to play during reception and dinner. Every single band member is so talented on its own and hearing them playing together really set a nice and relaxed atmosphere. All the wedding guests enjoyed the music and we got so many compliments for choosing such a good a band. We’re very very happy to have the Tavares Jazz band play at our wedding. You guys sound so nice in the videos, bur even better live! "

" The Fanci Duo played at our wedding day two at Waterford Castle in July 2023. They were very easy to book and communication was prompt and proactive leading up to the booking. They did a great job of playing lovely acoustic music which created a fab atmosphere for a more relaxed vibe we were after. They were also lovely to interact with on the day and were happy to take requests. They played a long set for us; we were really happy with our choice. "

"The band were truly excellent. Extremely pleasant people who fulfilled all of our brief. I was particularly impressed by them spending sometime before our party in rehearsing the songs my wife wanted to hear and which were not part of their normal repertoire. They managed to get everyone up and dancing which for a small group of 50 year olds is quite something! Our friends said it was one of the best parties they had been to and everyone had a truly fantastic evening. They played well past their allotted time and I really could not recommend them highly enough. Thanks very much for helping organise this and I would definitely use them again if I ever had the need."

"Hi Fernando, Thank you SO MUCH for your emails!! We just got home a few days ago from Portugal and were pretty disconnected for the remainder of our trip so just seeing these now! First, we cannot thank YOU and your band enough for being so lovely to work with and for bringing our wedding day music vision perfectly to life. We knew you would be wonderful, but we were completely blown away. We really cannot thank you enough, and are just so happy with everything. It was the most magical day for us and the guests (everybody is still raving about the band), and you were a huge contribution to that. My dad would have loved to play with you! Maybe one day in the future when we go back to Portugal ? Also, thank you so much for sending the video montage!! The one thing Frank and I were regretting from wedding day was not having more time to enjoy the band during the cocktail reception, so we nearly cried a bit seeing your email and the video. Thank you so much. We will cherish these memories forever and will continue to enjoy the video. Frank says we need you all to fly here and repeat the set so we can enjoy it fully from start to finish ? "Kasia & Gustavo played at our drinks reception and we received so many compliments about their performance from family and friends on the day. They are very easy to work with (we gave them some suggestions of the style of music we like and they expanded on it), and communication was very easy. Reliable, professional and just a lovely, happy pair to share a happy occasion with. Highly recommend."
