"Álvar played for my wedding proposal, and dinner afterwards, and was fantastic. Super responsive during the planning process, and flexible of type of music played. Tons of depth - ranging from classical and jazz to pop. Would absolutely work with Álvar again. "

"Highlight of our Event Coal #9 was the highlight of our backyard party. From the initial booking onward working with the band was effortless. Communication was excellent throughout. The band had to adjust their setup for our backyard but adjusted on the fly and without any loss in performance or complaint. Our guests raved at the quality of their performance. Band members were friendly and warm and their presence added to the evenings ambiance. We are so thankful that we go Coal #9 to perform at our event and highly recommend you consider them for your event. "Michael was AMAZING!!! I booked him for my wedding ceremony and let me just say I couldn’t be more grateful for his presence there and his wonderful performance. He was extremely flexible with our timeline and kept guest entertained while they awaited the fashionably late bride. Having a violinist for my wedding has always been my dream and Michael made that dream come true!"

"Without a word from start to finish, this Russian gypsy trio - two fiddles, one guitar. three wonderfully stirring vices - delivered a performance of such dazzling virtuosity as to force a second encore despite running well over time. For the first couple of numbers, perhaps, they seemed to be trying that bit too hard, the virtuosity rather over-riding the music, but once they loosened up that crucial degree you could virtually hear the sound of jaws dropping throughout the auditorium. "

"We hired Dos Arcs Duo to play instrumental music for ~2 hours at our wedding: they played before and after the ceremony, and during cocktail hour. They were super responsive prior to the wedding. They were open to learning new songs that we requested especially for the ceremony, and played wonderful pop background music during cocktail hour. I'd recommend them 100x over! "
