"It certainly was a special day, made even more special with the piper. He was absolutely amazing and it just made the whole ceremony that bit extra special. He was such a kind and friendly man and the New Zealand side of the party loved it. Please pass on our thanks and a big thank you to you for making it all happen. "If you are looking for a unique, diverse musical sound for an occasion, then book The Achill Lads. They are exceptionally talented musicians with style/genres ranging from traditional Irish/occasion/church music, piping, folk and singing. The variety of instruments they can play is astonishing! Their professionalism is second to none and I have been lucky to perform with them throughout the years. We were very honoured to have them perform at our Wedding last year and they were amazing! "We have been separated from our kids in Australia by Covid but our daughter sent Tom to play for my birthday in the front garden. Complete surprise and absolutely fantastic. He started with Happy Birthday then went on to a huge medley, even playing my request The Dark Island. Very emotive. We have been replaying our videos constantly and also the cd he gave me. Thank you so much Tom - it made the day. (10 / 10)"

"Great for Family Reunion It was a 90 degree day and the Reunion was in a banquet room where the air conditioning just couldn't keep up - most of the time it was in the 80s inside the place - awful! But John came in his beautiful Scottish attire and played for about 4 hours on and off - always positive and a fabulous attitude and looked fresh as a daisy! He was so professional and friendly and did a great job - playing everything at just the right time! We were all very impressed with his talent and his performance made the event a huge success! "

"I find it difficult to express my gratitude for your outstanding performance today. It was absolutely perfect and added so much to the success of the ceremony. Quite a few of our guests became quite emotional when you piped the colours in to ‘Flowers of the Forest’. The feedback that we have had is absolutely amazing, helped in no small part by your wonderful playing. I have your card and will pass on your details to the SAS Regimental Association. I am currently attending a funeral a month as my generation are slowly falling by the wayside. "We had Stevie attend our wedding with his bagpipes and he was absolutely amazing, and we had so many guests comment how lovely and great he was! He played as our guests arrived at the church, played us out of the church and again played us into our wedding breakfast as well as doing a traditional toast! Stevie was very accommodating and a lovely chap to have at our wedding. We would recommend him to anyone thinking about having a bagpiper!"

"Amazing! I was born in Scotland, my whole family is born there, so when it came down to my wedding day I always knew I wanted a bagpiper to play at my ceremony. Living in Southern California now, I didn’t know if I could find an authentic piper to play at my wedding, that was until found Stephen Wilkinson! Not only did he ask what I wanted him to play,but he asked what colors he should wear that would best suit my wedding. He showed up early on the wedding day with a huge smile, he introduced himself to my family, who loved that, especially my nana who was visiting from Scotland for my wedding. She loved it, and he took personal pics with them before the ceremony even started. He led my dad and I down the aisle and and then led my new husband and I back down the aisle, after the ceremony. He played during cocktail hour also. My guests absolutely loved his presence there, his piping is spot on and amazing! Everyone commented on how cool it was to have a bagpiper there, and not only how great he was but how friendly he is too! If anyone is looking for a bagpiper for any occasion I highly recommend hiring Stephen Wilkinson. He is the best! 5 Stars!!"
